For Sellers

Floor, ceiling and step — explained

Three numbers shape every auction. You set them when you create the lot, and bidders see all three before bidding opens.

No hidden reserves, no surprise cut-offs. The rules of the auction are visible to everyone from the start.

Floor Your reserve

The lowest price you'll accept. Bids below the floor don't qualify, and if bidding never reaches it you're under no obligation to sell. The floor is your reserve — there's no separate hidden number.

Ceiling Optional cap

An optional upper limit. If a bid reaches the ceiling, the lot can close immediately at that price — useful when you have a target value and want a fast, clean sale. Leave it off to let the market run.

Step Min. increment

The smallest amount a new bid must add over the current leader. A larger step moves the price quickly and keeps a big field decisive; a smaller step lets bidders compete in finer increments near the top.

Setting a realistic floor matters. A floor above market discourages bidding and can leave the lot unsold; a fair floor with verified buyers competing usually clears above it. Our desk can benchmark recent comparable lots for you.
